OUR CANDLES ARE MANUFACTURED IN THE HEARTLAND OF THE MIDWEST!

At Country Stoneware Candles, the vessel comes first.
We partner with local Midwest ceramic artists to create one-of-a-kind, hand-thrown stoneware containers. Each piece is shaped at the wheel, fired in the kiln, and finished by hand. No two are ever alike. Subtle variations in form, glaze, and color are not flaws. They are the signature of the artist who made them.
Much of the clay used comes from Central Indiana, grounding each piece in the land where it is formed.
Once the stoneware is complete, it comes to our shop, where we carefully hand-pour natural soy wax grown in the Midwest. Some candles are left unscented for a simple, quiet glow; others are lightly scented to complement the space without overwhelming it. Every candle is entirely American made.
The craft of stoneware stretches back thousands of years. While tools have evolved, the essence remains unchanged—clay, fire, time, and skill. We set out to create something lasting: a functional work of art designed to live on long after the flame has burned away.
Each stoneware vessel can be cleaned and reused or refilled as you choose. Once the wax is fully removed, the vessel is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe—meant to remain part of everyday life.
Every Country Stoneware Candle is a limited-edition, one-of-a-kind work of art, created through collaboration between artists and makers, and offered in small, curated collections.
