About Us

Country Stoneware Candles

Country Stoneware Candles is built around the idea that objects made slowly carry meaning.

We work in close partnership with local Midwest ceramic artists to create one-of-a-kind stoneware vessels, each hand-thrown and finished individually at the wheel. These pieces are produced in small, limited kiln runs, shaped by hand, fire, and time. Once a run is complete, it is never repeated.

When the stoneware arrives in our shop, we carefully hand-pour each vessel with natural soy wax grown in the Midwest, creating a candle designed to burn cleanly and evenly. Some pieces are left unscented for a quiet, simple glow; others are lightly scented to complement the vessel without overwhelming it.

Our candles are released in curated, limited-edition collections. Each collection reflects a specific kiln run, group of artists, or moment in time. Quantities are intentionally small. When a collection sells out, it closes, making space for the next collaboration to take shape.

The stoneware itself is meant to last. Long after the candle has burned away, the vessel remains—cleaned, reused, and kept as a functional piece of handmade art. Each one is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe, ready for a second life in your home.

Country Stoneware Candles are not mass produced. They are limited by the kiln, guided by the artist’s hand, and finished with care—created to be enjoyed in the moment and valued for years to come.
